About Corbett - Corbett Machaan Resort
Corbett national park is one of the most beautiful and picturesque national parks in India. The national consists of rivers, mountains, grasslands and scrublands and is a part of terai belt known for its natural beauty and rich wildlife.
Area - 1288 sq. kms
Location - Headquarters is at Ramnagar, 70kms from Nainital in uttrakhand state.
Corbett tiger reserve constitutes of Corbett national park, sonanadi wildlife sanctuary and kalagarh tiger reserve and parts of reserve forest.
Ramganga river and domunda river flows from the national park and kosi river flows on the periphery of the national park giving the residents enough supply of water.
For better management of tourist the park is divided into various tourism zone mentioned below:

- » Jhirna Zone
- » Dhikala Zone
- » Lohachaur zone
All zone other than Dhikala are open for visitors for day visit by jeeps wherein Dhikala zone visit by jeep needs a compulsory night stay inside the forest rest houses.
The headquarters of Corbett national park is based at Ramnagar, from where the permits are issued for visit to national park. Permits are also available online at the official website of Corbett national park for convenience of its visitors.
Jhirna zone of Corbett national park is open round the year and all the other zones are closed during monsoons.
